Guess what? I heard from Vanderbilt today...I got in! Woohoo!

Awesome! I love vandy. When do you start classes and stuff? Are you going to get to do any research or anything while your there?

Orientation and stuff starts like August 17th.

Yeah, the first year we all take the same class, Bioregulation, and do four lab rotations to help us choose a specialty. Then at the end of this year, I'll have to choose an adviser and begin thesis research. The second year I take whatever classes are required for my specialty, and then it's thesis research until I'm done. (the average time to degree is 5.2 years)

I'm pretty excited, they have all kinds of cool stuff going on there and lots of cutting-edge equipment - so yeah, a little research :)
